After school art sessions for children ages for 5-12

Small group art sessions in a working artist’s studio

Fun and inspiring, promoting individual self-expression and original thought.

There is no right or wrong way to create - we aim is to release your child's inner artist.

Sessions are run by artist, Jacquelyn Stephens, mother of two and professional artist, from her art studio in East St Kilda.

   

‘Kids Make Art’ sessions Term 2 are due to re-commence on the 1st back to school, that is the week beginning Monday April 15th 2013.

Each Wednesday & Friday session runs for 2 hours after school and is directed towards 7-12 year old artists.

Cost for Wednesday & Friday sessions includes afternoon tea in addition to the supply of all art materials and equipment.

For the whooper 11-week term upfront payment is $330 per young artist at one session per week (saving $55)

Or $35 per session for casual bookings.

There is now an opening on Thursday after-school for a junior artist group to begin, ages 5 to 8 years. Projects will be directed more towards younger artists and will go for a shorter time - Afterschool to 5.30pm.
Unfortunately, this will only go ahead if I can attract at least 4 junior artists.

Cost for Thursday Junior Art sessions includes afternoon tea in addition to the supply of all art materials and equipment.

Or $30 per session for casual bookings.

Bookings are essential for all groups to creatively cater for all.
Groups are small so places are limited.

All Art Projects are about enjoying and exploring materials, the development of skills, art knowledge and language.  Having fun, building confidence and nurturing creativity is part of this process.

Jacquelyn is a graduate of Victorian College of the Arts (Bachelor of Fine Art: painting) and works as a professional artist, but also has experience teaching art to children from kindergarten to primary level.

Woops! When I first wrote this entry I made a big mistake; Term 2 is only 11 weeks and not the whooper 13. Sorry, Must have been the fire next door to the studio that distracted me. For all young artists I have re-written the above message with correct calculations.
